Our newest service we are now offering, helping to increase our standard of care, is Pet Wellness Report (PWR). This innovative new program will help both you and our team gain an insight into your pet’s overall health and individual needs. PWR is a service which we provide that is FREE to you. It may help to identify health risks earlier so that treatment may have a better outcome. As a TAH Outpatient Technician, I am very passionate about our level of care for our patients.
Before your pet's next wellness exam, we encourage you to go online to our website (http://www.tahvet.com/pet-wellness-report.html) and follow the link to create your pet’s own PWR. Here you will answer questions about your pet and his/her lifestyle. The results of your questionnaire will be e-mailed directly to the doctors at TAH for reference. You will also be able to look at the results immediately - we highly recommend you read through these results so that you may discuss any questions with the doctor. I have done the Wellness report for my own pet, Austin. At first, I was a little upset at the results as I felt that I was giving him the best care I possibly could, specifically regarding oral care. It asked if he had any missing teeth, to which I replied yes. But the report did not ask about any oral care provided! He has had teeth pulled due to an oral condition that he has. So I did not get a good score in that area. After thinking about it for a few minutes, I realized the report is not to judge you on the care you provide your pet, but instead to help you discover and understand any areas that your pet's health may be at risk. Bringing these risks to your attention enables you to discuss them with our doctors!
I hope that you take the time to provide this extra care for your pet! If you have any questions, please give us a call!
Have a great day!
