a stray with severe injuries. Thanks to Dr. Garcia's generosity and skill, as
well as the offer to adopt from one of our employees, Tipsy is now a healthy,
happy kitten with a home. This video was taken just four days after her left
back leg was amputated.
Her owners say she is as happy and playful as any other kitten with four legs. Tipsy will go on to live a long life with very few limitations, according to Dr. Garcia, who said people are often very surprised by how quickly animals adapt to amputations.
"Tipsy is a wonderful cat. She has a great temperment. We could tell right away that she didn't want to give up even with her injuries," Dr. Garcia said. "All I did was give her the ability to live her life without pain."
